3. Rotating sphere

We have designed and built a laboratory planet to demonstrate the fluid flows that are possible in the Earth's interior or in planetary atmospheres. You can see some cool movies here. It uses Lego motors!

The idea for using Lego's comes from the The DIYnamics team at the UCLA Dept. of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences. They kindly offered us to write a guest entry in their blog, which you can check here. There you can find more information about our laboratory planet's construction, the rheoscopic fluid we use for visualization, pics and more fun videos! There you will also find other very interesting experiments designed to visualize a variety of flows that are possible in planetary interiors or atmospheres.

2. Team Meetings

On regular basis, the team is meeting for discussing the advance of the work and new ideas.

1. RotaNut Meeting

The Kick-off meeting of RotaNut was followed by a workshop called: "Understanding the Earth core and nutation.", September 19 - 21, 2016, Brussels, Belgium

The summary of this workshop was publsihed in the AGU EOS.
